EXTRAORDINARY MEETING: Sutton Parish Council held an extraordinary meeting on Friday evening, 17th November 2017 at 7:00pm to which the public were invited. The agenda item was to engage with Daniel Walker, the new owner of the property and land to rear of 35 Station Road, and an interested party in the acquisition of a second property on Sutton Lane with regards to possible development and building on the newly purchased site.
Support of residents from throughout the village was evident as a crowd in excess of sixty people were in attendance. The villagers present felt the design consultant on behalf of Walkers was not entirely familiar with the Neighbourhood Plan, formulated over the last three years and this being the most unpopular site when the local residents were asked for their views, on various occasions over this period. A question and answer session then arose with villagers making their feeling known, the chair of the council brought the meeting to a close shortly before 8:00pm.
