Again this not only affects the Station Road area of the village, but the whole village, your village!

It’s the place to be for tea, cake and conversation.

PLANNING MEETING: A group of around 50 villagers congregated in the Village Hall on the evening of Friday 23rd February at 7:00pm, including Parish Council Members. They were there to register their objections to a planning appeal which has been submitted recently and is a contradiction to all the conditions in the recently approved Neighbourhood Plan formulated by the village after three years of hard work. The Neighbourhood Plan has been approved and is now adopted as part of Bassetlaw District Council’s planning policy for Sutton.

Local resident John Gough outlined the contents of the appeal and what it means to the village as a whole. The impact on the village would include, the creation of a new access point on to Town Street, increase in the volume of traffic on an already busy thoroughfare, itself used by children and parents going to and from school. Questions and additional information from the floor highlighted other concerns which affects not only Town Street the but entire village and its residents.
