ST BARTHOLOMEW’S CHURCH: At St Bartholomew’s church on Sunday 4th November an “All Saint Day Service” will take place.
The service starts at 9:30am and everyone is welcome.
FRACKING UPDATE: The drilling rig will soon be arriving at the “Tinker Lane” well site situated off the A634. The rig and equipment will be delivered by road through Blyth over two weeks. SUTTON ART GROUP ANNUAL EXHIBITION: You are invited to attend the art groups annual exhibition on Sunday 4th November 2018 in Sutton Village Hall. Viewing from 11:00am until 3:30pm. Come along and have a look! You may not find a masterpiece but there will be something to suit all tastes, with many for sale on the day.

SUTTON GARDENING CLUB: When the club meets on Tuesday 6th November in Barnby Moor Village Hall at the usual time of 7:15pm, members will be given the facts from a sage gardener. This entails people, plants and methods used in Victorian Gardens! An event not to be missed, with members old and new always welcome. A small surcharge is made for visitors.
Tickets are selling well for the club’s forthcoming Christmas Draw which is scheduled to take place on Saturday 8th December, with major prizes to be won.
BARNBY MOOR FUNDRAISER: On Saturday 17th November, Barnby Moor village residents will be holding a coffee morning in the Village Hall from 11:00am until 1:00pm. The event is being held in support of the recent Tsunami where residents lost homes, businesses and most of all lives were lost! News bulletins showed people trying to escape with any possessions they could carry but with nowhere to escape to.
This a very worthwhile cause and your support would be appreciated. Admission is free, you only pay for your coffee; donations not compulsory but very welcome! Further detail available from organiser Ann Fraser on (01777) 705 906.
MEET THE NEIGHBOURS: The next MTN will be held on Wednesday 21st November at 1:15 in the Village Hall. There will be the usual fun quiz and raffle and Nigel will once again provide a delicious home cooked meal. Everyone is welcome to come along. COMMUNITY DOG WALK: Approaching the festive season, a community dog walk is being planned and will hopefully take place on Sunday 2nd December. Further details to follow.
NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH: The committee of the local association met on Wednesday 31st October in the village at the usual time of 2:30pm. A report will follow.
QUIZ NIGHT: The quiz continues to take place in the Village Hall every Sunday night, £1.00 entry per person which is paid back as prize money! The bigger the crowd – the bigger the prize! New contestants always welcome. 8:00pm start and bar open.

YOUTH CLUB: The Youth Club continue to meet on a Tuesday night from 7:00 to 8:30 in the Village Hall (except for the first Tuesday in the month). New members are always welcome.
