We have received information that there were two burglaries on Station Road on the evening of Monday 11th March 2019. It appears that both incidents occurred between 18:30 and 20:30 hrs. When we know more from the police we will update this alert. In the meantime if any suspicious activity was noticed on Station Road or in the the village generally on that evening we ask that you contact the police on 101.

Remember to keep all doors and windows locked and always leave a light on if you are away from your premises in the hours of dusk/darkness.

The message below is transcribed from an Appeal by East Bassetlaw Police that appeared on their Facebook page 11.02 hrs 13th March 2019.

We’re appealing for witnesses following two burglaries in Station Road, Sutton cum Lound.

On 11 March, between 6.30pm and 8.30pm, the suspects smashed the patio door of a house but did not take anything. On the same day, at around 7.50pm, another house was targeted and the window was smashed. The suspects made off with several items of jewellery.

If you were in the area and witnessed anything suspicious, please call 101 quoting incident number 828 of 11 March. We’re also keen to speak to any drivers who may have dashcam footage of the incidents.
