Pathe News, adverts by Pearl and Dean before the big picture (in colour of course). Everybody’s favourite “Calamity Jane” soon had the audience singing along with the girl next door Doris Day. Trailers of forthcoming performances, more news events including excerpts from “Seven Brides for Seven Brothers” held the Audiences attention until the ice cream lady made an appearance.
With drinks from the bar and popcorn available this show gave a lot of pleasure to a lot of people, thanks to the efforts of Dick Bolton and his love of old movies.
