There are a number of regular meetings of clubs and societies around the village. Some of these meet locally at the Village Hall, whereas others generally meet outside the village. We have a few of these here, but see the Sutton Village Hall Calendar for those that meet at the Village Hall.

See a list of the regular groups and clubs meeting at the Village Hall in a typical month.

The village news items generally contain details of when and where meetings take place. The easiest way to stay informed about these is to sign up for our email updates.

Sutton cum Lound and Barnby Moor Gardening Club

Sutton has it’s own Gardening Club in conjunction with Barnby Moor, which meets in Barnby Moor Village Hall, Kennel Drive, Barnby Moor, DN22 8QU on the first Tuesday of the month at 7:15pm.

We are a very friendly and supportive group, so if you are new to the area, or new to gardening, we would love to see you. You do not need to be an expert at gardening, we all learn from each other and our guest speakers.

Monthly Guest Speakers; refreshments served.

Annual subscription period runs from April to March, costing £15.00 per person per annum (plus £1.00 per person on meeting nights for members, £2.50 per person on meeting nights for non-members and guests).

So if you would like to get involved, or just want more information, then please contact Chairperson Jenny Bailey, who will be pleased to help:

Meet The Neighbours

The Village Hall Committee are happy to announce that they are re-launching ‘Meet the Neighbours’ on the first and third Monday of the month between 1:00pm to 3:00pm in the Village Hall.

This is an opportunity to come to our welcoming space and enjoy a chat with a friend, a change of scenery and use of the Wi-Fi if working from home. Challenge yourself with our newly purchased games, enjoy a drink and piece of cake or take a breather before the school run!

The committee has worked hard in securing funds for this to be completely free of charge for all to enjoy.

See the Village Hall Calendar for meeting dates and times.

You can contact the Meet The Neighbours team by emailing to mtn@suttoncumlound.net.

Visit the Village Hall website for more details.
