Who Are We?

Sutton cum Lound is a small rural village situated 3 miles to the North West of Retford in the North of the county of Nottinghamshire. The site aims to provide information on the village, amenities and the various bodies that are active within it.

From the South:

From Retford take the A638 towards Blyth and Bawtry.

After 2.5 miles turn right just before the road goes over a bridge across the railway, signposted Sutton and Lound.

Approximately 1 mile along you will come into Sutton cum Lound.

From the North (A1 at Blyth):

Leave the A1 at Blyth Services and turn right on the first roundabout at the top of the slip road; go straight across the second roundabout towards Blyth.

After approximately 1 mile cross the first mini-roundabout in Blyth and turn left at the second one (opposite the Four Ways Hotel) on to the A634 towards Retford.

Continue along this road for approximately 4 miles. At the T-junction turn right onto the A638 towards Retford.

You are now in Barnby Moor.

Continue through Barnby Moor and, on leaving the village, turn left immediately after the bus shelter on the left, signposted Sutton 1 and Lound 2.

Cross the railway line (if Network Rail haven’t closed it).

You are now in Sutton.
