ST.BARTHOLOMEW’S CHURCH: A “Service with a Difference” takes place on Sunday 31st at the local church. Come along and find out more, bring the family!! The service starts at 9:30am and everyone is welcome.
POSTAL SERVICES: The Post Office in the village hall will be available as usual on two occasions each week. On Mondays: 9:30am – 1:30pm and on Thursdays 9:00am – 1:00pm. The local office can supply residents with: Pensions, Foreign Currency, Travel Insurance, Car Insurance, Investments and Savings.
CLASSIC CAR SHOW: The annual Classic Car Show held on Sunday 17th July attracted a fair amount of visitors this year. Information from the Village Hall committee indicates that a sum in the region of £100 has been received and will go towards the Village Hall Building Fund. Thanks go to all concerned.
NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH: The committee of the local association held their monthly meeting on Tuesday 26th July at: 55 Station Road Sutton and a full report will follow next week. Please note there will be no meeting of the group in August as in previous years, with the next meeting being scheduled to take place on Tuesday 27th September at the usual time of 2:30pm.

At about 2:30pm on Monday 18th July, three men entered a garden of a property on Station Rd. Sutton cum Lound and items relating to a ride on lawnmower were stolen.
Members are asked to remain vigilant and report anything that seems suspicious, challenge any uninvited callers without being confrontational and if still concerned contact your local Beat Manager or PCSO for further advice.

WOMENS INSTITUTE: The ladies of Sutton and Barnby Moor WI, met on Wednesday 20th July at 7:15pm in Sutton Village Hall. The guest speaker was Penny Brittain of Mayflower Animal Sanctuary based at Bawtry, South Yorks.
Members were informed of the details of the sanctuary from its inception in June 2003 upto present date and were given an insight into the managing of the modern day set up and the running costs involved. The speaker went on to relate how management and volunteers contribute to the upkeep of the unit and how important support and donations are to maintain or improve on present standards. A very enjoyable and informative evening.

IDLE VALLEY SOCIETY: Members are reminded that there is no meeting of the group in August. The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday 6th September in Barnby Moor Village Hall at the usual time of 7:30pm.
