Neighbourhood Watch has reported the following “scam” which has been confirmed by Royal Mail.
A card is being posted through your door from a company called PDS (Parcel Delivery Service) suggesting that they are unable to deliver said parcel, and for you to contact them on an “0906” telephone number. If you call this number you will receive an automated message, but by this stage you will have already been billed £315.00!
If you do receive one of these cards please contact Royal Mail Fraud on 02072 396 655. Please be aware of this scam, and anything similar, and be extra vigilant on the lead up to busy Christmas buying period where there is an increase in parcel deliveries.
