PC 3354 Alan Johnson has taken over as the new Beat Manager for Nottinghamshire Police’s Safer Neighbourhood Team covering Ranskill and Sutton.
PC Johnson has been full time police officer for more than 11 years and served for six years as a Special Constable in Worksop before that.
Initially Alan served with the West Midlands Police, spending more than seven years with the force, three and a half years as a response officer, and three years as a Neighbourhood beat officer in the Bourneville area.
Since joining Nottinghamshire Police he has served as a response officer in the Bulwell, Retford, Harworth and Worksop areas.
Married with one son, Alan is Worksop born and bred. “So I know the area well,” he said.
“I am looking forward to a new challenge, getting out and about and meeting people, and trying to make a difference to the quality of life for people in the villages I cover,” he added.
Alan joins PCSO Cath Phillips on the Ranskill and Sutton beat.
