ST.BARTHOLOMEW’S CHURCH: A “Family Service” will take place at the local church on Sunday 16th September. Please come along and bring the family. The service commences at 9:30am and everyone is welcome.

POSTAL SERVICES: The Post Office in the Village Hall will be available as usual on two occasions each week. On Mondays: 9:30am – 1:30pm and on Thursdays 9:00am – 1:00pm. The local office can supply residents with: Pensions, Foreign Currency, Travel Insurance, Car Insurance, Investments and Savings.

B.A.R.K.: Babworth Animal Rescue Kennels date for the one day sale in the village hall has been confirmed as Sunday 23rd September. The event will start at 10:00am and continue until 1:00pm.

Some new and nearly new items will be on sale on the day with all proceeds from the sale going to the local kennels   It is hoped villagers will support the event.

VILLAGE VENTURES: The next presentation in the Village Ventures series is the Virginia Monologues which will take place in the village hall on Friday 12th October at 7:30pm.

Tickets are now on sale and are available from Pick’s General Store, Fred Payne (01777 707 562), Frank Bradley (01777 705 060), or www.suttonvillagehall.net. Tickets cost £8.00 (£4 00 for age 16 or under).

COFFEE MORNING: Will villagers please note that the coffee morning will take place on Saturday 29thand not on Tuesday as previously notified. The hosts of the ever popular coffee morning Kathryn and Brian Seddons invite you to join them for morning coffee on Saturday 29th September in the Village Hall from 10:30am – 12:30pm.

An entrance fee of only £2.00 will entitle visitors to coffee /tea, biscuits or cake and a instant raffle ticket as well as the chance to meet friends old and new in a relaxed atmosphere.

ROAD CLOSURE: Villagers are advised that Station Road Sutton cum Lound will be closed to through traffic, from its junction with Town street through to Barnby Moor from Monday 1st October 2012 at 07:30am until 18:30pm on Sunday 7th October 2012. This is to allow Carriageway Resurfacing Works to be carried out by Notts. County Council.

KELLY J FITNESS:   “Fitness for all”  classes continue to take place on Monday evenings in the Village Hall. A fully qualified personal trainer and fitness instructor is on hand to put members through their paces. New members always welcome.

SUTTON AND BARNBY MOOR WI: The invited speaker at the next meeting of the Sutton and Barnby Moor WI will be Lorraine Kent, who will address the members on the subject of “The history of Fans”, when the group meet on Wednesday 19th September in Sutton Village Hall at 7:15pm.
