Flood awareness campaign

As some of you may be aware the Environment Agency are planning a month long flood awareness campaign, which is due to start today, Monday 15 October.
The aim is to drive more people to check their flood risk and better prepare for times of flood. The Agency would like to communicate the key public calls to action:
- Check your flood risk at www.environment-agency.gov.uk/flood
- Sign up to receive FREE flood warnings at www.environment-agency.gov.uk/flood
- Download and complete an easy personal flood plan at www.environment-agency.gov.uk/flood
- Prepare now by buying and installing flood products in advance. Visit www.environment-agency.gov.uk/flood for advice or www.bluepages.org.uk for an independent directory of flood products.
- Find out if there is a community flood group in your area or how to set one up by contacting the National Flood Forum on 01743 741725.
- Find out about how you can contribute to or organise funding for flood protection in your area at www.environment-agency.gov.uk
Each week, the Agency website homepage will feature a flood banner, a video of one of the new personal flood stories and links to relevant materials. They will also be updating the flood webpage to include new materials that have been produced for the campaign.
