VILLAGE VENTURES: The Village Hall Committee are looking for someone with an interest in the arts to take over the running of Village Ventures for the 2013/14 season. Fred Payne and his wife Jackie have been very successful for the last 16 years and now believe the time is right for them to step down and pursue other interests.

VILLAGE HALL REFURBISHMENT UPDATE: The refurbishment of the “Gentlemens Toilet” by BW Property Services is on-going, and the Committee are hopeful that this week should see the plastering, plumbing and new flooring works completed and the toilets operational.
The hall frontage has been significantly improved with the car park “holes” infilled by using planings and tarmac. Many Thanks must go to Trustee and Committee Member Frank Bradley for Project Managing this phase of the refurbishment project.
The committee would like to have completely resurfaced the area but this is not financially viable at the moment as the target area for the next phase is the new entrance.
Soft furnishings and final fixings to the main hall are ongoing and the VHC hope to complete before the Christmas festivities begin, as ever we ask for our users to be supportive whilst the work is being undertaken and hope that any disruptions will be minimal.
