PARISH COUNCIL: Villagers turned out in force for the tree lighting ceremony that took place on Saturday 1st December at 5:30pm on the small village green, by kind invitation of the Parish Council.

Approximately 120 villagers and friends made the effort and braved the weather to attend the event.

Reverend Sue Caddy was on hand to say a few words followed by traditional carols from the children of Sutton cum Lound School, who were accompanied by the members of Harworth Brass Band.

Picks General Store generously agreed to add to the festivities with traditional minced pies and mulled wine was available to those who attended. Thanks must go to everyone who helped in any way to make the event the success it was, and the public for their support. A good start to the festive season.
