Presented by Angus & Ross Theatre Company
The year is 1520. Henry VIII of England meets Frances I of France in a French field and the rival kings proceed to display their fabulous power and wealth. For days they attempt to outdo one another in displays of wealth, feasting and battlefield prowess. Both proud and highly intelligent, both bellicose and both the epitome of 16th Century princely chivalry.
What makes a man? Why does he do what he does? How absurd and terrifying battle is ….
These profound issues are the basis for this absorbing, witty new comedy in which the company’s energetic and versatile performers take on a number of diverse and hilarious characters.
