Recent crimes reported on the Bassetlaw East Ranskill/ Lound beat area.

Between the beginning of March 2013 and 2000 hours on 08/03/2013 the following incidents have been reported and crimes across the beat area –

  • Between 1455 hours on 04/01/2013 and 0748 hours on 04/03/2013 unknown persons have removed 800 litres of heating oil from a tank in the front garden of a property at Ranby.

    Incident number 000790-04032013 relates.
    Please consider asking the fuel supplier for recommendations towards items and equipment which are available to reduce this type of crime. Alternatively, seek some advice from reputable DIY stores.

  • Between 1629 hours on 04/03/2013 and 2128 hours on 05/03/2013 unknown offenders have forced the padlocks from a shed and container at a premise in Ranby. Once entry was gained, nothing was taken.

    Incident number 000181-05032013 relates.
    Please consider alarming all sheds and out buildings. Shed alarms are now available at a number of local stores across East Bassetlaw and are a handy deterrent. Alternatively, consider having the out buildings added to the dwelling burglar alarm system.

  • Between 1600 hours on 03/03/2013 and 1200 hours on 05/03/2013 unknown offenders have attended the rear of a property on Great North Road, Ranskill where they would not be seen and have climbed onto the roof. Here, the offenders have removed lead flashing from two areas on the roof before escaping with the same.

    Please continue to report all suspicious persons, vehicles and activity occurring at your own or at adjoining properties.

  • Between 1630 hours on 01/03/2013 and 0630 hours on 02/03/2013 an unknown suspect has entered an isolated field on Sutton Lane, Sutton cum Lound and has removed batteries and a quantity of diesel fuel from an unattended excavator vehicle left there.

    Please review where all vehicles are left unattended during daylight or night time hours. If they need to be left in isolated locations remove anything which is of value to criminals and ensure that fuel levels left are minimal.
