
Worksop assault victim was local man

The 40-year-old man who died following an assault in Worksop town centre on Saturday evening (6 April 2013) has been named.
Glen Kitchens, from the Sunnyside area of the town, was pronounced dead at Bassetlaw District Hospital after the incident in Bridge Street, near its junction with Central Avenue and Ryton Street, at around 7:30pm.
A post-mortem examination is due to take place to confirm the cause of death.
Mr Kitchens’ relatives are being supported by specially-trained detectives at this difficult time.
Four teenage boys, three aged 15 and one aged 16, who have been arrested on suspicion of murder will remain in custody overnight.
As part of the murder inquiry, detectives are scouring CCTV from the town centre and speaking to witnesses in a bid to establish what happened.
