
COFFEE MORNING: On Saturday 29th June you are invited to attend the Coffee Morning held approximately every 6 – 8 weeks in the Village Hall. This popular event, run on a regular basis by Kathryn and Brian Seddons runs from 10:00am until 12:30pm. A two pound entrance fee covers coffee / tea and cakes or biscuits.
This is the chance to come along and meet friends and neighbours and catch up on all the latest news and views from in and around the area.
During this Saturday’s session former PCSO for the area Dave Airey will be on hand to offer security advice and information to those in attendance. A small raffle may take place and the officer may decide to run a “Test your local knowledge” event with a prize for the winner!
Various crime prevention leaflets should be available and some aids to security may be on sale on the day.
JUMBLE SALE: The jumble sale held recently in the Village Hall turned out to be a great success, with a good number of people through the door. Would-be customers were soon vying for any bargains available on the day amid all the elbowing and pushing with lots of good banter thrown in. All proceeds from the event are destined for St. Bartholomew’s church. Thanks go to all who supported the event.
ST.BARTHOLOMEW’S CHURCH: “A service with a difference” will be held at the local church on Sunday 30th June. The service commences at 9:30am and everyone is welcome.
NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH: The local Neighbourhood Watch Committee met on Tuesday 25th June at the usual time of 2:30pm.and a full report will follow.
SUTTON APRIL CLUB: The Sutton club will meet in the Village Hall on Friday 28th June at the usual time of 2:00pm. Members old and new always welcome.

VILLAGE HALL COMMITTEE: The Village Hall Committee met on Wednesday 26th June in the Village Hall at 7:30pm and a report will follow next week.

POSTAL SERVICES: The Post Office in the Village Hall will be available as usual on two occasions each week. On Mondays 9:30am – 1:30pm and on Thursdays 9:00am – 1:00pm. The local office can supply residents with: Pensions, Foreign Currency, Travel Insurance, Car insurance, investments and Savings.
WHEELIE BINS: Residents are reminded that green bins should be put out for collection late on Monday night 1st July or early Tuesday morning.
