The Flower and Produce Show, organised by Sutton Gardening Club and hosted at the church, is this year to be held on Saturday 31st August 2013. Various categories are available for both adults and children with certificates being issue to winners of each class.

Adult Categories


1. Vase of cut flowers from my garden and / or hedgerow

2. Table Arrangement


3. Dish of soft fruit (NOT tomatoes)

4. Three Apples

5. Three Pears


6. Four potatoes

7. Four carrots

8. Six tomatoes

9. Six runner beans

10. Longest bean

11. Three onions

12. Basket of mixed vegetables (minimum of 6 vegetables)


13. Four fruit scones

14. Six shortbread biscuits

15. An open-top apple tart with short-crust pastry (max 10” diameter)

16. Victoria sponge cake


17. One jar of homemade jam

18. One jar of homemade chutney

20. Photograph from the natural world such as insects, birds, trees, woods, etc [minimum 6”x4”, maximum 12”x9”]


21. Hand-made piece of jewellery

22. Patchwork quilt item no more than 24 inches square

23. Painting of flower(s), fruit or vegetable(s) in any medium [max 12”x9” mounted but not framed]

Children’s Categories

1. Garden in a tray (9 to 14 years)

2. Four jam tarts (8 to 14 years)

3. Photograph of flower(s) and / or insect(s) and / or bird(s) (9 to 14 years)

4. Greeting card with a gardening theme such as wild flowers (5 to 8 years)
