
SUTTON FUN DAY – Sutton cum Lound PTA have been busy organising a fun day for all planned for Sunday 21st July in and around the village. There are plans for a dog show, various stalls and games, Raffle, bouncy castles and all in conjunction with The Gate Inn Classic Car Show to be held on Portland Place Green. Some of the proceeds raised will be in aid of Sutton cum Lound C of E School and the Air Ambulance. More details to follow.
COFFEE MORNING: On Saturday 29th June saw the Coffee Morning held on a regular basis by Kathryn and Brian Seddons. During the session, former PCSO for the area Dave Airey was on hand to offer security advice and information to those in attendance. A quiz on Neighbourhood Watch Knowledge was run, with all entrants getting 5 out of 5 – Well done to all who took part!
A small raffle took place and the proceeds of around £40 donated to the coffee morning funds.
Various crime prevention leaflets and accessories were made available to all who attended.
SUTTON SPOTLIGHT: Residents should now all be in receipt of the latest edition of the Sutton Spotlight. If you require a copy please see here for all issues or call into the Village Hall where there are several copies available.
BARN DANCE: Back by popular demand, the Lonely Mr Punch will be performing at Sutton Village Hall on Saturday 31st August. Those who celebrated the Diamond Jubilee in the village will remember this popular lively band. Tickets are priced at £12.50 to include supper. Tickets are available on line or by telephoning 07092 985831.
ST.BARTHOLOMEW’S CHURCH: Morning Prayer will be held at the local church on Sunday 7th July. The service commences at 9:30am and everyone is welcome.
NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH: The local Neighbourhood Watch Committee met on Tuesday 25th June at the usual time of 2:30pm.and a full report will follow.
SUTTON APRIL CLUB: The Sutton club met in the Village Hall on Friday 28th June at the usual time of 2:00pm. Members old and new always welcome.
SUTTON ART GROUP: The group meet every Friday morning in the Village Hall and will continue throughout the season. Further details of the group and their activities are available from Joan Reiter on 01777 702 137 or Margaret Beare on 01777 704 836.

VILLAGE HALL BOOKINGS: Enquiries with regard to the booking of the Village Hall should be made by contacting 07092 985 831. POSTAL SERVICES: The Post Office in the Village Hall will be available as usual on two occasions each week. On Mondays 9:30am – 1:30pm and on Thursdays 9:00am – 1:00pm. The local office can supply residents with: Pensions, Foreign Currency, Travel Insurance, Car insurance, investments and Savings.
WHEELIE BINS: Residents are reminded that blue bins should be put out for collection late on Monday night 8th July or early Tuesday morning.
