Burglary incident in Barnby Moor

Please be aware that on between Saturday 18th of January 2014 and Monday 21st of January 2014 there was a burglary on Retford Road, Barnby Moore. It is believed the offenders had parked their vehicle on the roadside and cut through some fence wire, then entering onto the land. Although quite a number of tools have been stolen from an out-building there were other tools piled up at the fence ready to be taken but it would appear the thieves were disturbed.

- Leave a light on when it’s dark, make use of timer switches and consider leaving a radio on or investing in a fake TV device.
- Register your property for free on the national property database www.immobilise.com Immobilize helps Police to reunite stolen items with their rightful owners in the event of them being recovered.
- Protectively mark your valuable property with your name and postcode preferably using a visible property marking kit such as Cremark or SelectaMARK and don’t leave valuables such as laptops on view.
- Fit a outdoor light sensor and CCTV.
