SUTTON LEVEL CROSSING: Notice is hereby given that Notts County Council intends to close the Sutton and Barnby Moor Level Crossing on Station Road on Saturday 2nd August 2014 from 23:45 hours until Sunday 3rd August 2014 at 18:00 hours. The closure is to allow Network Rail to carry out decking renewals. Several crossing closures will take place over the next few week-ends and details will be furnished accordingly.
ST BARTHOLOMEW’S CHURCH: “Morning Prayer” will take place at the local church on Sunday 3rd August. The service starts at 9 30am and everyone is welcome.
MEET THE NEIGHBOURS: Will patrons please note that there will be no meeting of the group in August (as in previous years). The organisers are taking a well deserved rest. They will be back early September (date to be notified). Please come along and join them.
FAMILY EVENING: The Family Evening held in the Village Hall on Saturday 26th July turned out to be yet another success for the village The event, held from 7:30pm to 11:00pm was organised to bring friends and families together for a social evening, complete with licensed bar, various games for adults and children and musical entertainment.
Credit must go to Chris and Jane Sulley and friends for hosting the evening with requests already coming in for a follow-up event.
