FAMILY FUN NIGHT: A “Family Fun Night” will take place at the Village Hall on Friday 3rd October. Outdoor and indoor games for all ages (depending on the weather) with the bar open on the night. You can bring your own picnic or nibbles!!

ST.BARTHOLOMEW’S CHURCH: On Sunday 5th October “Harvest Thanksgiving” will take place at the local church. The service starts at 9:30am and everyone is welcome.
SUTTON LEVEL CROSSING: Due to ongoing maintenance works the crossing on Station Road will be closed to all traffic from 11:00pm on Saturday evening 4th October and will remain closed until 6:00pm on Sunday 5th October.
QUIZ NIGHT: The first of two quiz nights will take place in the village on Friday 10th October at 7:00pm in the Village Hall. The entrance fee of £5.00 per person includes a pie and pea supper. A licensed bar will operate on the night. Come along and bring your friends.

CHURCHYARD: Many thanks to local volunteer Mr Tommy Turner who has agreed to be the Churchyard Keeper once again. Tommy keeps the churchyard in pristine condition. A fund raising campaign has now been launched by the church to raise funds for the upkeep and ongoing maintenance of the churchyard. Anyone wishing to donate towards the upkeep of the churchyard can do so by contacting Mr Bryan Birkett on 01777 700 098.
ART GROUP: Sutton Art group are in the process of organising an Art Exhibition which will take place in November. Further details will follow when all the arrangements have been finalised.
VILLAGE HALL COMMITTEE: The committee met on Wednesday 23rd and the following Agenda items came under discussion: Finance, Fundraising, Forthcoming events, Maintenance issues and A.O.B.
A Christmas Market, A Christmas Coffee Morning, and a grand Christmas Draw are amongst some of the many things happening over the festive season. Family nights also feature highly in the programme. Please support them if you can.
