ST.BARTHOLOMEW’S CHURCH: “Holy Communion” will take place at the local church on Sunday 14th September. The service starts at 9:30am and everyone is welcome.
SUTTON FLOWER AND PRODUCE SHOW: Please submit your entries to the Village Flower and Produce Show on Saturday 13th September between 10:00am and 11:30am in the Village Hall.
If you have not yet submitted your ‘intentions’ you can still submit your entries. Free public entry is from 12:30pm. We hope to see you there.
PARISH COUNCIL MEETING: The next meeting of the Parish Council is scheduled to take place on Wednesday 10th September 2014 at the usual time of 7:00pm in the Village Hall. Chairmen Ron Beare and his fellow councillors invite you to join them.
GATE INN: Observant villagers will have noticed that the shutters are now off the windows and doors of the local hostelry and work on the premises will commence shortly. Local information indicates the venue will re-open in the next few weeks.
BURNS NIGHT: The Burns Team met in the village on Thursday 4th September and discussed ideas and suggestions for a Burns Supper to be held in the Village Hall next January. Further meetings are planned and details will be announced as each stage of planning is reached.
MEET THE NEIGHBOURS: Will patrons please note that there will be no meeting of the Neighbours group on Tuesday 9th September but the good news is the team will be back on the following Tuesday, 16th September, at the usual time of 2:00pm. in the Village Hall.
You are invited to join them for the first meeting of the new session, when you can catch up on all the latest news and views from in and around the area.
