
ST.BARTHOLOMEW’S CHURCH: Please note change of times and venue for the next service on Sunday 14th June. A joint service of “Holy Communion” will take place at St. Saviour’s church. Please go along and show your support.
The service starts at the later time of 10:30am and everyone is welcome.
COFFEE MORNING: Another successful coffee morning took place in the village hall on Saturday 23rd May thanks to the ongoing efforts of Brian and Kathryn Seddons. On this occasion the event coincided with the village litter pick and the workers were ready for their hot drinks on return.
The next coffee morning is scheduled for Saturday 11th July at the usual time of 10:00am to 12:00noon.
VILLAGE HALL COMMITTEE: When the village hall committee met on Wednesday 3rd June it was the occasion of the groups AGM.
Details were announced of the progress made over the last 12 months and this was discussed and reviewed. Various suggestions were put forward for consideration in the future. The present committee stood down and as no nomination were received prior to or during the meeting the group agreed to stand again for another period.
The committee are as follows: Angela Close (chair), Kathryn Seddon’s (secretary), Sharon Dyson / Fred Payne (finances) supported by committee members Mavis Bradley, Chris Sulley, Diane Hall, Gail Bradley Charmaine Perry and Frank Bradley.
On completion of the AGM the normal monthly meeting then took place.
WOMEN’S INSTITUTE: When the ladies of Sutton and Barnby Moor WI meet on Wednesday 17th June in Sutton Village Hall at the usual time of 7:15pm they may learn something to their advantage. Joan and John Broadbent will address the members on the subject of “Claris Cliff ”. These items of pottery have become much sought after in recent years and many pieces turn up on antiques shows and in auctions on television. Further details will be revealed on the night.

NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH: The committee of the local Neighbourhood Watch association will hold their monthly meeting on Wednesday 30th June at the usual time of 2:30pm.
SUTTON ART GROUP: The group meet every Friday morning in the Village Hall and will continue throughout the season. Further details of the group and their activities are available from either:
