ST.BARTHOLOMEW’S CHURCH: On Sunday January 3rd 20016 at the local church, “Morning Prayer” will be held.

The service starts at 9:30am and everyone is welcome.

BURNS NIGHT: Last few tickets available for this popular event, which will take place on Saturday 23rd January 2016 at 7:30pm in Sutton Village Hall.

SUTTON BELL-RINGERS: A band of Sutton Bell-ringers were on hand at Saint Bartholomew’s church to welcome the Christ Child on Christmas morning.

Thanks to Rebekah, Joan, Dylan, Mark and tower captain Bryan Birkett for their efforts on the day and for all the hard work and dedication throughout the year as they help maintain this fine art which is part of our local and national heritage.

SUTTON SPOTLIGHT: The Spotlight has now been delivered to most homes in the village as stated in last week’s report.   If you have not received a copy and require one, spare copies are available at the Village Hall. Again the information sheet has been well received in the community, with comments regarding the issue, praising its outlay and quality and thanking the group of local volunteers who work so hard to make the publication possible.

SUTTON GARDENING CLUB: Another successful year for the gardening club, with membership on the increase at each meeting, which is the first Tuesday of the month. The first meeting of the New Year will be on Tuesday 5th January 2016 at the Gate Inn at 7:15pm. This will be gardening club quiz night with a £1.00 entry fee for the quiz with prizes for the winners.

SUTTON APRIL CLUB: The April club continue to meet every two weeks in the village and full details are available from Group Leader and organiser Carole Head on (01777) 705 077.
