ST.BARTHOLOMEW’S CHURCH: On Sunday 3rd July “Morning Prayer” will take place at the local church.

The service starts at 9:30am and everybody is welcome.

PIPES AND DRUMS: Retford and Bassetlaw Pipes and Drums still have a few vacancies for people who are interested in music. Tuition is available for people who wish to learn to play the bagpipes or drums!

The group meet on Wednesday evenings at 7:15pm at Barnby Moor Village Hall, Kennel Drive, Barnby Moor, Retford DN22 8QU.

SUTTON ART GROUP: Sutton Art Group have organised a coach trip to Salford Quays and the Lowry Gallery for only £13.00 per person, leaving the village in a 49 seater coach at 9:00am on Sunday 3rd July. We leave the Quays at 4:00pm and hope to arrive back in Sutton at around 5:30pm.

Entry to the gallery is free. You may also wish to visit the War Museum North which attracts lots of visitors, and there are of course shopping opportunities. The Village Hall car park is open from 8:30am and the coach will pick up at the village green area between the pub and the Village
Hall at 9:00am.

GARDENING CLUB VISIT: Sutton Gardening Club’s next meeting on Tuesday 5th July will be an evening visit to Ellicar, Gringley on-the-Hill – A Natural pool and Gardens.

Refreshments provided! Meet at the Village Hall in order to car share.

FAMILY FUN DAY: “The Great Sutton Show will take place on Sunday 17th July between 10:00am and 3:00pm. It’s a family fun day featuring a dog show, bouncy castle, games and rides with many stalls and fun for everyone. All welcome. The event will be at Sutton-cum-Lound C of E school. Portland place Sutton.

PRE-LOVED ITEMS AND CAR BOOT SALE: The table-top and car boot sale held at the Village Hall on Sunday 26th June attracted a limited number of sellers but a fair number of visitors.

Discussion is underway to plan for future events to take place.
