
ST.BARTHOLOMEW’S CHURCH: At the local church on Sunday 26th February, “Songs of Praise” will take place.

DANESHILL LAKES: The Friends of Daneshill Lakes local Nature Reserve at Torworth have organised two special events for February at the Reserve.
The final one, on Sunday 26th February, our popular wild flower enthusiast Kevin Widdowson will be concentrating on trees and “how do you know which tree is which” when they have no leaves? All will be revealed at this free to join, community family event which runs from 10:30am to 12:30pm, meeting in the reserve car park at 10:15am. No booking required.

QUIZ NIGHT: Another good turn out at the Gate last Sunday night saw the Neighbours Team pick up the £20 prize on a music quiz that spanned 7 decades, collated and presented by local man Nigel Johnston. The winning team took the cash prize on offer with an excellent score of 47 points out of a possible 60. It’s several weeks now since anyone won at play your cards right and last Sunday was no exception. Sooner or later someone’s got to win this £100 prize. Same time next week 8:00pm, same venue Gate Inn Sutton.
