ST.BARTHOLOMEW’S CHURCH: On Sunday 12th March, “Holy Communion” will take place at the local church.

The service starts at 9:30am and everyone is welcome.

GATE INN COFFEE MORNING: Coffee Morning at the Gate Inn is on Thursdays, from 9:00am until 12:00noon. Coffee and cake £3.50. Refills available. Further details available from the Gate inn on (01777) 709 408.

BARNBY MOOR VILLAGE HALL: Barnby Moor will be holding a professional wine tasting evening at the Village Hall on Saturday 29th April 2017 at 7:00pm. Tickets are £15.00 per person and can be obtained from Mrs. Ann Fraser on (01777) 705 906 and are restricted to 35 participants.

CAR BOOT/TABLE TOP SALE: Another good sale took place on Sunday 5th March at the Village Hall from 10:00am to 12:00noon (9:00am for sellers). £5.00 per pitch, limited indoor tables.

The next sale is scheduled for Sunday 2nd April at the Village Hall.

QUIZ NIGHT: On Sunday night the winning team were declared as “Taffy’s Back Up Team” and they fought off a tough challenge from the other teams involved to deservedly walk away with the cash prize on offer. Once again the £100 on offer in the play your cards right game is still up for grabs, with no winners on the night. It has got to be won eventually! Will it be your team? Same time – same venue this Sunday 8:00pm – Gate Inn Sutton.

GARDENING CLUB: The club met on Tuesday 7th March at 7:15pm in the Village Hall, when speaker Don Witton talked about ‘Euphorbias and Spring Flower Perennials. A full report will follow when available.

MEET THE NEIGHBOURS: The neighbours group met on Wednesday 8th March at 1:00pm in the Gate Inn when cottage pie and vegetables were served. Any local notices were given out and a simple quiz was attempted by the group present. The usual raffle then took place when a large and varied selection of prizes were won.

General chit-chat then took place as neighbours caught up on all the latest news and views from in and around the area whilst socialising over tea and biscuits, and all done in convivial company.

The next monthly meeting is scheduled for Wednesday 12th April at 1:00pm when a new menu will be on offer to tempt your palate. Don’t miss it!
