ST.BARTHOLOMEW’S CHURCH: “Songs of praise” will take place at the local church on Sunday 22nd April.

The service starts at 9:30am and everyone is welcome.

VINTAGE TEAS: Saturday 21st April is the Vintage Tea week-end, when once again the Vintage Tea rooms will be serving the usual high-class teas in finest bone china complete with a cake stand full of tempting sandwiches and delicious cakes to tempt the palate.

It is essential for those requiring a full vintage tea to book by ringing Judi on 07970 052055 to arrange the same. This is to avoid disappointment as more and more people are wishing to attend. Villagers and friends are invited to call in, if passing, to enjoy an afternoon cuppa and a nice piece of cake or treat yourself to the ever-popular cream teas and socialise for the afternoon with friends and neighbours. Will you be there? All your friends will!

CAR BOOT AND TABLE TOP SALE: The next car boot and table-top sale will take place on Sunday 6th May at the Village Hall, from 10:00am until 1:00pm (sellers from 9:00am). SUTTON SPOTLIGHT: The village publication hit the streets this week-end and again didn’t disappoint. Full of good and useful information covering a variety of subjects and topics, and warmly welcomed by those receiving the same. The Spotlight is funded by the Parish Council but edited, produced and delivered by a band of willing volunteers. Much appreciated.

COMMUNITY DOG WALK: A Community Dog Walk has been arranged and details will be published nearer the date.

GATE INN: The quizzes continue to take place at the Gate Inn every Sunday night starting at 8:00pm. The event is usually concluded by 9:30pm and new faces are always welcome. Cash prizes always on offer!

SUTTON AND BARNBY MOOR W.I.: The group met on Wednesday 18th April as scheduled and a report will follow when to hand.

NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH: The committee of the local association met as scheduled on Wednesday 28th March 2018 at the usual time of 2:30pm. The agenda items were dealt with swiftly and accurately with no complications. There was no police presence on the day, so no crime or police report was available to members.   The group were unaware of any incidents in the village to date but were advised by the chair to remain vigilant.

KEEP FIT CLASSES: Keep fit classes continue in the Village Hall every Thursday evening from 6:30pm to 7:30pm. All fitness levels welcome! Further details available on 07549 244 379.
