SUTTON GARDENING CLUB: The gardening club stall at the great Sutton show is almost upon us – Sunday 22nd July from 10:00am to 3:00pm. We still need volunteers please throughout the day, but particularly at the end of the show to help clear up; if you could spare an hour or so it would be appreciated! If you have plants and /or produce for us to sell and to make a hamper to raffle off on the Sunday, you can either bring it on the Sunday direct to the stall first thing, or Roger Bird or Jenny Bailey will be available to collect your wares on the Saturday 21st July between 10:00am and 12:00pm at the Village Hall in Sutton-cum-Lound.

SUTTON ART GROUP: Once again our friend and guest artist, Elaine Nash, visited us on Friday to lead us in exploring ‘Painting with Two Colours’. After a brief demonstration to give us an idea of the beauty, and the pitfalls, of using such a limited palette, we all set to work to produce our own pieces. Whilst the restrictions were challenging for some, others found the idea quite liberating and produced some unusual, free work, and we certainly saw more abstract pieces created than usual Details of the Art group and its activities are available from Joan Reiter on 07990 702 445.

MEET THE NEIGHBOURS: The Neighbours group met as scheduled on Wednesday 18th July at the Village Hall and a report will follow. For further details of the neighbours group please contact organiser Joan Reiter on 07990 702 445.
