NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH
The local association held their monthly meeting in the Village Hall on Wednesday 29th May at 7:00pm with members of the public and committee members present. This was the groups’ AGM and a general update was given on matters various which involved Neighbourhood Watch during the last 12 months.
The Chair of the local association, Marilyn Boeuf, opened the meeting, welcoming everyone to the event and proceeded to present the chairs annual report, which was concise and very informative and was accepted by those present. Treasurer’s report was given by Gail Bradley and showed that spending was kept to a minimum from last year to this. Books and balance sheets were left available for public scrutiny during the meeting.
In agenda items the election of a new committee was required (with the present committee now stood down) the chair asked for volunteers from the floor, but with none forthcoming, the former committee agreed to stand again for another 12 months and were elected en-bloc. The only change to the line-up was the decision of long standing member Carol Dexter to stand down after 10years of loyal service, due to personal reasons and other commitments. The chair and committee thanked Carol for her input over the years and wished her well for the future.
A general discussion took place with suggestions put forward for retaining the set up or improving it in the future. On the closure of the meeting refreshments were served. District Councilor Rob Boeuf was in attendance at this event.
