MEET THE NEIGHBOURS

Another good turnout when the Neighbours group met in the village hall on Wednesday 18th September at 1:00pm when 40-plus friends and neighbours turned up to eat together and socialize afterwards. On completion of an excellent meal, provided once again by local chef and caterer Nigel Bower, those present were invited to try their hand at a quiz during the coffee break, once again with a lot of high scores around the room. The event concluded with the usual raffle with draw-master Fred Payne supervising and seeing fair play with loads of banter thrown in for good measure to compliment a good afternoon enjoyed by those present.

The quiz continues to take place in the Village Hall every Sunday night, £1.00 entry per person which is paid back as prize money! The bigger the crowd – the bigger the prize! New contestants always welcome. Following the quiz “Play your cards right” – Cash Prize! Can you beat the local teams? Come along and try. 8:00pm start and bar open.
