The application is to build 33 houses on land adjacent to Gate Cottage on Town Street.
Outline planning permission has already been submitted and approved. This was following significant objections based upon our Neighbourhood Plan and the views of residents, a full appeal process and a subsequent judicial review.
The proposed site plan for 33 houses can be seen in the attached document below. A development of this size will not only affect the surrounding residents but will have a significant impact upon the entire village infrastructure.
We urge you to express your views directly to Bassetlaw District Council through their planning portal and have your say about the way you want this village to be developed in the future. Our Neighbourhood Plan is not enough, we need to boost this with strong support from all residents throughout the village. The deadline for the consultation period is Monday 1 June 2020.
