ST. BARTHOLOMEW’S CHURCH

Having been given permission by the diocese to resume services, at 9:30am on Christmas day a service of Lessons and Carols will take place at the local church! On the 27th December the service will be one of “Worship for All”. A warm welcome awaits you at any or all of the services. Please come along and give thanks!

You can discover more about the church on the Sutton website here, and more current information may be available on the church facebook page here.

NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH

The local neighbourhood Watch Team continue to monitor and observe the alert system on your behalf, looking at various scams and criminal activities taking place in the surrounding areas, which may affect us here in the village. Any information gleaned will be passed on accordingly. If you are aware or suspicious of any activities taking place then please pass the details to the Police on the non-emergency number 101 and inform your local neighbourhood watch team. Together we can help reduce the crime figures in our area and keep incidents to a minimum. Have a happy Christmas remain safe and remain vigilant!

CHRISTMAS EVE JINGLE

Don’t forget the Christmas Eve Jingle!

At 6:00pm on Christmas Eve 2020, go to your doorstep or into the street with your family (whilst maintaining good social distancing and bubble restrictions obviously) and ring any bells you may own for 2 minutes. The idea is to spread a bit of much-needed Christmas cheer, remind Santa and the reindeers that we’re all here despite the world-wide pandemic, and generally cheer everyone up after a depressing and exhausting year.

It would be wonderful if our neighbours and anyone living alone could hear the jingle bells on Christmas Eve. So, get out there and ring those bells!
