ST. BARTHOLOMEW’S CHURCH
The church was open for worship on Palm Sunday, 28th March, at the later time of 9:30am, mainly due to the outstanding effort of the church wardens Dylan Boddy and Janet Webb and their support team. In keeping with current regulations, social distancing, face masks and hand sanitizers were in use. Appropriate Hymns were recorded as no singing is allowed under present conditions, but the words were provided on printed sheets for worshippers to follow. Organist Geof Webb was present for incidental music when required. The service itself was conducted by the church wardens and covered a greater part of a Palm Sunday service wherever possible.
With no refreshments available on the day, those attending met outside to enjoy social chit-chat with their peers before departing to destinations various.
Please note a “Holy Communion Service” will take place on Easter Sunday, 4th April, at the later time of 10:00am. Please come along and join in, a warm welcome awaits you.
SUTTON SPOTLIGHT
The Spotlight arrived at most homes last weekend and once again been welcomed by the majority of residents. A slight change in format especially relating to the contact details on back page, which are clear and concise and a handy document to retain near your telephone. Thanks must go to the organizers and the band of helpers who make this document available to the village. The Sutton Spotlight is funded by Sutton Parish Council and produced and delivered by volunteers.
