A New Defibrillator in the Village

It’s one of those things that we want, but we don’t want. We now have a new defibrillator in the village for use by the Community thanks to the help of a local charity. Many of you will know that we already had a defibrillator positioned at the Village Hall, but with the generous help of the Muslim Charity and a top-up donation from Nottinghamshire County Council we have been able to replace it with a newer model.

The Defibrillator is for use by anyone in need of it but is only accessible through using emergency services who will assess whether it is needed and tell you how to get hold of it.

The original defibrillator is still usable and has been relocated to the Church.

Thanks also must go to Dylan Boddy, a local responder, who gives up some of his free time to regularly check our defibrillators and make sure they are always in working use.

We also have the Sutton Spotlight, which goes out to every house in the village on a quarterly (ish) basis. Space is sometimes limited, so try to get your entry in early.

We’re also lucky to have a village Journalist who collates news and updates for the Retford Times on a weekly basis. Get your copy in on Monday morning for the Thursday issue.

All our website updates are also sent down the village “X formerly Twitter” feed, @SuttonCumLound. So, follow us there for these and other items in and around our area.

The Parish Council has a Facebook presence for all things of a council nature. Contact the Clerk if you want anything on this feed.
