(STATION ROAD, SUTTON CUM LOUND)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) NOTICE 2022 (BS22024)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council (in exercise of its powers under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984) being the traffic authority for the length or lengths of road referred to in this Notice, hereby directs, because the restriction or prohibition should come into force without delay, that:

  1. No person shall proceed in the following length of road at Sutton cum Lound in the District of Bassetlaw:

Station Road, Sutton cum Lound between a point 20 metres west of its western crossing barrier and a point 20 metres east of its eastern crossing barrier.

The alternative route will be as follows:
A638 Great North Road Sutton Lane and vice versa.

This Notice shall come into force on:
Saturday 26th February 2022 for a maximum of 5 days

This restriction is to enable Network Rail to carry out inspection works and vegetation clearance; such work being expected to take place:

From 23:45 hours on Saturday 26th February 2022
Until 08:25 hours on Sunday 27th February 2022 inclusive.

Further Notice

a) No prohibition, restriction or prescription contained in this Notice shall apply to any vehicle being used for duties

    • in connection with the said works

b) Nothing in this Notice shall apply so as to make it unlawful for any vehicle to proceed in the length of road specified in this Notice for the purposes of access to or egress from premises, provided that the said access or egress may only be gained by proceeding over the length of road specified in this Notice, provided that the works being carried out would not be inconveniently interrupted.

c) Any existing restrictions or prohibitions previously introduced on any lengths of road mentioned above by an order made under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 may be temporarily suspended for so long as this notice is in force and traffic signs are in place.

d) For so long as, and to the extent that, traffic signs (authorised under the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions in force on the date this Notice is made) indicating the effect of the prohibitions contained in this Notice are placed, that prohibition shall be enforced.
