Parish Council

Parish Council Meeting

The next meeting of the Parish Council is scheduled to take place on Wednesday 11th January 2023 at the usual time of 7:00pm in the Village Hall. You are invited to join them.

Parish Councillor Vacancies

The Parish Council have a number of vacancies and would like to co-opt new councillors as soon as possible. If you are interested in joining the Council and serving your community, then please contact the Clerk to the Council for further information.

Meet the Neighbours

Future Meet the Neighbours events may have to follow a different format as it has been difficult to source a regular caterer during this last year, but rest assured the team will be looking to ensure we can still get everyone together for some form of social gathering one way or another! Hope to see you all at the next Meet the Neighbours.

Speed Watch

The local speed watch team in the village are in the process of purchasing their own speed watch system through the local constabulary, as the police coverage of the village seems to be limited due to cutbacks, staff shortage, sickness, and annual leave etc. This seems to be the way forward for the local group, and it is hoped villagers will support the scheme to help reduce speeding in the village and make it safer for all! Negotiations are continuing.

Sutton and Barnby Moor Gardening Club

The meeting of the gardening club went ahead as planned on Tuesday 3rd January at Barnby Moor village hall at the usual starting time of 7:15pm.

Further details available from gardeningclub@suttoncumlound.net
