Investing in Nottinghamshire: have your say on your council’s budget
Only a few weeks left to have your say about how we set our next budget!
There’s still time to have your say on how your council’s budget is spent.
We want to invest in Nottinghamshire to create a healthy, prosperous, and greener future for everyone who lives in the county. To help us achieve this, we need to know your priorities.
Each year, we have a legal duty to balance our budget and just like the people in Nottinghamshire, we’re also feeling the pressures that are driving up the cost of living such as increased inflation and energy costs. Many other factors, including a national shortage of social care staff and a need for more funding, are also adding to those pressures.
Our plans and strategies will invest in our communities, and by using your feedback we can create a budget that will strengthen our ability to meet the needs of everyone we serve.
Your views will help us to set a budget which rises to this financial challenge and delivers the best value for money as well as high quality services that will improve the lives of our residents.

We also have the Sutton Spotlight, which goes out to every house in the village on a quarterly (ish) basis. Space is sometimes limited, so try to get your entry in early.
We’re also lucky to have a village Journalist who collates news and updates for the Retford Times on a weekly basis. Get your copy in on Monday morning for the Thursday issue.
All our website updates are also sent down the village “X formerly Twitter” feed, @SuttonCumLound. So, follow us there for these and other items in and around our area.
The Parish Council has a Facebook presence for all things of a council nature. Contact the Clerk if you want anything on this feed.
