Needle and Natter

The needle and natter group have done the village proud with their marvellous display of knitted poppies, situated in Portland Place and on the green at the junction of Sutton Lane and Station Road. Great accolades from within the village and further afield. Well done to all concerned, thanks for your hard work and efforts. A grand total of £247.38p was raised and is destined for the Royal British Legion.

Sutton And Barnby Moor Gardening Club

The next meeting of the local gardening club will take place on Thursday 7th November in Sutton Village Hall at the usual time of 7:15pm. On this occasion, Don Witton will address the members on the subject of Once seen – Never forgotten (Eclectic Images).

Defibrillators

Many householders will have had a visit from British Heart Foundation representatives over the last few weeks, mainly enquiring if residents were aware of any defibrillators in the village and where the same were situated.

The local art group meet every Friday morning in the Village Hall throughout the year from 10:00am to 12:30pm.

Church Services

On Sunday 27th October 2024 (last Sunday after Trinity), a “Family Service” took place at the local church at the usual time of 9:30am. Worship Leaders on this occasion were Janet Webb and Dylan Boddy. Intercessions: Janet Webb. Organist: Geoff Webb. Gospel; Mark 10. 46 to end.

The next service at St. Bartholomew’s on Sunday 3rd November is a Service for All Saints’ Day. You are invited to come along and join in – everybody welcome.

Building Works Update

The Harvest Festival Art Display and the dedication service of Phase One of the building project was a great success.

This was due to all the hard work and commitment of church members, who must be thanked for their efforts.

Post Office

The Post office operates out of the Village Hall on a regular basis. Please check the Village Hall Calendar of Events for days and times.

Services offered include banking, Cash Deposits, Cash Withdrawals, Bill Payments plus lots more.
