ST.BARTHOLOMEW’S CHURCH: “Songs of Praise” is the service on Sunday 27th March at the local church. The service starts at 9:30am and everyone is welcome.

YESTERYEARS CINEMA: Tickets are still available for Yesteryears Cinema scheduled to take place in the Village Hall on Saturday 26th March at 7:30pm. (Doors open 7:00pm.) Nostalgia at its best.

Advanced tickets are £2.50, or £3.00 on the door on the night.

POSTAL SERVICES: The Post Office in the Village Hall will be available as usual on two occasions each week. On Mondays: 9:30am – 1:30pm and on Thursdays 9:00am – 1:00pm. The local office can supply residents with: Pensions, Foreign Currency, Travel Insurance, Car Insurance, Investments and Savings.

COFFEE MORNING:  Twenty eight people made the effort and called in for coffee at the Village Hall on Saturday morning (19th) from 10:30am – 12:30pm.

One or two new faces amongst the regulars on this occasion as villager enjoyed their teas/coffees and a large selection of cakes, whilst discussing a wide range of topics in convivial company.

Councillor for the area Mrs Liz Yates called in during the session accompanied by her husband Terry and socialised with gathering.

The event was deemed quite a success raising a sum in the region of £90.00 towards Village Hall funds.   Hosts Brian and Kathryn Seddons are planning another event scheduled for Saturday 14th May, same venue, same time.

QUIZ NIGHT: Another close call to decided the winners when the quiz night took place at the Gate Inn last Sunday, with question master John Jones in the chair.

One point decided it at the end of the evening with team Sonny and Her plus friends being declared winners. Next quiz on Sunday 27th starting as usual at 9:00pm.

NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH: A committee meeting of the local association will take place on Tuesday 29th March at the usual time of 2:30pm.
