ST.BARTHOLOMEW’S CHURCH: On Sunday 20th March a “Family Service” will take place at the local church, which you are invited to attend. The service starts at 9 30am and everyone is welcome.
YESTERYEARS CINEMA: Tickets are still available for Yesteryears Cinema scheduled to take place in the Village Hall on Saturday 26th March at 7:30pm. (Doors open 7:00pm.)

POSTAL SERVICES: The Post Office in the Village Hall will be available as usual on two occasions each week. On Mondays: 9:30am – 1:30pm and on Thursdays 9:00am – 1:00pm. The local office can supply residents with: Pensions, Foreign Currency, Travel Insurance, Car Insurance, Investments and Savings.

MEET THE NEIGHBOURS: Neighbours met in the Village Hall on Tuesday 8th March with a group of twenty eight people present.
Various notices were given out during the afternoon whilst neighbours socialised over afternoon tea, catching up on all the latest news and views from in and around the area. A small quiz was held and caused a bit of consternation round the room, and then the usual raffle was drawn.
The local Beat Manager and the area PCSO called in and chatted to the gathering.
COFFEE MORNING: Residents are reminded that the coffee morning is on Saturday 19th commencing at 10:30am. With a £2.00 admission fee covering tea/coffee and biscuits and including the instant raffle. Further details available from Brian and Kathryn Seddons on Retford 01777 860 313.
ECCLES CAKE MYSTERY: A regular customer at Sutton Post Office, held in the Village Hall, arranged to meet a lady who would deliver an order of his favourite Eccles cakes. The order was delivered as arranged and the recipient completed the transaction at the office and set off home. On arriving home realised he had left his Eccles cakes and returned later to the Village Hall to collect them.
The cakes had gone!! Eaten in fact – by person or persons unknown?
