ST.BARTHOLOMEW’S CHURCH: On Sunday 24th July “Songs of Praise” will take place at the local church. The service starts at 9:30am and everyone is welcome.
POSTAL SERVICES: The Post Office in the Village Hall will be available as usual on two occasions each week. On Mondays: 9:30am – 1:30pm and on Thursdays 9:00am – 1:00pm. The local office can supply residents with: Pensions, Foreign Currency, Travel Insurance, Car Insurance, Investments and Savings.
CLASSIC CAR SHOW: The annual Classic Car Show went ahead as planned last Sunday. Entries were somewhat down on last years figures, thought to be due to vehicle owners being swayed between two or more venues operating on the same day. Inclement weather and an unsettled forecast also had an effect on attendances.
LOCAL COUNCILLOR SURGERY: District and County Councillor Liz Yates will be holding an open surgery at the Sutton cum Lound Village Hall on Thursday 21st July 2011, between the hours of 10:00am and 12:00 noon. This surgery gives you the opportunity to have a chat about any issues, and Liz will provide guidance where appropriate. WOMENS INSTITUTE: The ladies of Sutton and Barnby Moor WI, met on Wednesday 20th July at 7:15pm in Sutton Village Hall. The guest speaker was Penny Brittain of Mayflower Animal Sanctuary based at Bawtry, South Yorks.and a full report will follow next week.

NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH: The committee of the local association will hold their monthly meeting on Tuesday 26th July at: 55 Station Road Sutton.
The meeting commences at the usual time of 2:30pm.

SAFER NEIGHBOURHOOD GROUP: The group met as scheduled on Monday 18th July in the church hall at Ranskill, at 6:30pm.

MEET THE NEIGHBOURS: There was no meeting of the Neighbours group on Tuesday 12th July and as in previous years there is no meeting planned for August. The organisers will be back with new biscuits and fresh tea bags on the second Tuesday in September (13th) and hope to see everybody then.
WHEELIE BINS: Residents are reminded that Blue bins should be put out for collection late on Monday night (25thJuly) or early Tuesday morning.
