Note for your diary – a consultation with Bassetlaw District Council is to take place on Monday 5th December at Sutton Village Hall with regard to proposed development within the village boundary. Note the times: 4:00pm to 7:00pm.

In an effort to sell the concept, BDC have issued a number of posters:

The first one indicates:

  • Over 6000 New Houses
  • 100 Hectares of New Employment Land
  • 38 New Gypsy and Traveller Plots

The second one shows potential development areas within the village … which seem to be quite substantial.

Our Parish Plan, whether you understand / like it or not, said quite clearly that residents were not in favour of any substantial development within the village.

So, you have the information, you have the date and time, do you have the inclination? Please turn up and make a stand.

Should you require further information please contact Clerk to the Parish Council at clerk@suttoncumlound.net or leave a message on by calling the Sutton Central telephone service: 07092 985 871 and your query will be directed to the relevant parties.
