Warning: door sticker sellers scam
Information sent on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council Trading Standards
We are warning residents to beware of a cold-calling sticker scam which has been reported in Nottinghamshire.
Salespeople, who are ironically cold callers themselves, are offering the stickers at £1 each, which display a message stating that cold callers are not welcome.
We are advising householders not to buy them, because Nottinghamshire County Council trading standards team can provide householders with a freedoor sticker, warning cold callers to stay away. If you are a Nottinghamshire County Council resident and would like one of the stickers, please contact the team on 01623 452 005.
