Trading Standards traditionally receive an increase in complaints regarding doorstep callers touting for work at this time of year.
We are already receiving complaints from Nottinghamshire residents in regard to traders knocking on doors and offering building maintenance, driveway repairs and garden services.
Trading Standards never recommend employing a trader based on a cold call.
The Nottingham Post has published an article in conjunction with Nottinghamshire County Council Trading Standards advising consumers not to deal with doorstep callers, which can be read on their website here.
