Police - Wrapped Car

The wrapped car pictured above will feature in the forces vehicle crime campaign. Don’t lose your way put it away is the message behind the force’s latest campaign, warning motorists that items such as Sat Navs could be stolen if left on display.

The wrapping on the car shows the inside of the vehicle with various valuables left. The initiative hopes to raise awareness amongst motorists about simple measures to avoid falling victim to opportunist thieves. However it’s not just Sat Navs that are targeted, anything left on display, whether that’s loose change, shopping bags, or coats will tempt thieves. In 2012 the force recorded more than 4,000 thefts from cars.

Don’t become a statistic:

  • Always lock your vehicle
  • Never leave anything on display even jackets and loose change
  • Take everything of value out of your vehicle
  • Leave your glove box open to show there’s nothing inside
  • Register your valuables for free at www.immobilise.com
