The Parish Council is pleased to invite all residents to the lighting of the village Christmas tree at 5:30pm on Saturday 30th December on the small green opposite Pick’s General Store.
Reverend Sue Caddy will say a few words, followed by traditional carols from Harworth Brass Band with involvement from the children of Sutton cum Lound CoE Primary School.
In 2011 the Parish Council funded a memorial plaque alongside the Christmas tree to the memory of Peter Roberts who served as Clerk to the Council for 16 years. One of his last projects for the village was to organise the permanent power supply to our the green. This was to enable the village to have its first ever illuminated Christmas tree.
