CHRISTMAS CRAFT FAIR: Two ladies from the village, Angela Close ably assisted by Sharon Dyson invite villagers and friends to join them at their Christmas Craft Fair which will be held at Retford Town Hall Butter Market on Sunday 17th November 2013 from 10:00am until 4:00pm.

A variety of different and unusual crafts will be on show on the day and will be well worth the visit.

Also running at Retford Town Hall on Sunday the 17th is the annual Bassetlaw Model Railway Society exhibition. So, you can do a bit of wheel tapping and shunting upstairs before getting stuck in for some serious Christmas shopping at the Craft Fair downstairs. Everyone’s a winner! Ho! Ho! Ho!

ST.BARTHOLOMEW’S CHURCH: A Sung Eucharist and Holy Communion will take place at the local church on Sunday 17th November. The service starts at 9:30am and everyone is welcome.

SUTTON ART GROUP: The Sutton Art Group Annual Exhibition is to be held in the Village Hall on Saturday 23rd November. Everyone is welcome between 11:00am and 4:00pm on the day. Entry is free and refreshments will be available. Additional interest will be provided by the school and pre-school who will also be exhibiting. Most paintings will be for sale on the day.This is your chance to buy original local art at affordable prices.

The group meets on Friday mornings at the Village Hall between 10:00am and 12:00 noon, and continues throughout the season. The group numbers more than 20 members, with a resident art teacher.

VILLAGE VENTURES: The next production in the Village Ventures Series is scheduled to take place on Saturday 7th December 2013 at 7:30pm.in the Village Hall. Scary Little Girls Productions proudly present “Mother Mae I” Christmas Cabaret. Tickets will be on sale shortly and further details are available from Nigel Johnson on (01777) 948 320.

NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH: The committee of the local association will hold their monthly meeting on Tuesday 26th November at the usual time of 2:30pm.

MEET THE NEIGHBOURS: Due to unforeseen circumstances and personal commitments it has been decided to postpone the monthly group meetings until further notice. Further information will follow when available.

PARISH COUNCIL: The Parish Council normally meet on the second Wednesday of each month at 7:00pm in the Village Hall. There is a public participation period and all residents are welcome to attend. VILLAGE HALL BOOKINGS:  Enquiries with regard to the booking of the Village Hall should be made by contacting 07092 985 831. Anyone making enquiries please note that the number is not manned on a permanent basis, but calls are re-routed to one of three points for their attention and will be dealt with as soon as possible. POSTAL SERVICES: The Post Office in the Village Hall will be available as usual on two occasions each week. On Mondays 9:30am to 1:30pm and on Thursdays 9:00am to 1:00pm. The local office can supply residents with: Pensions, Foreign Currency, Travel Insurance, Car insurance, investments and Savings.

WHEELIE BINS: Residents are reminded that green bins should be put out for collection late on Monday night 18th November or early Tuesday morning.
